Why is there no book about Cairo for children? I asked myself several times when I was standing confused in the bookstores. I searched around went through the shelves and left mostly very disappointing. I had enough of books about hieroglyphs and dead Pharaohs. I knew it was time that Egyptian children learn more about the culture and the city they are living in. So I decided to make a book by myself. A book that I would like to see in Egyptian bookshelves. A book that I would love to read to my children and to my children’s friends. I wanted to create a simple and joyful book that is engaging and fun. I had a clear vision in my mind and I wanted it to be transformed into reality
