Yamam Khartash

A Syrian writer who resides between Syria and Germany. She holds a degree in Biology and has studied creative writing in various workshops and platforms. She has published more than fifty works, including early childhood books, picture books, and chapter books with various publishing houses. She also works as a freelance editor and with publishing houses.

The story Something is not Ordinary at all was shortlisted for the Al Multaqa Award for Best Children's Book in 2022. 


The book "Don't Forget That" received the OUKA Encouragement Award for Best Illustrations in 2024.


 The story A Swing for the Birds won the Outstanding Story Award at the 2024 Kuwait International Children's Book Competition.

 The book "Even If" won the Publishers' Forum Award in the Early Childhood category for 2024, a book she revised and edited.
