Collection: Heba Khalifa
Heba Khalifa; is a visual artist from Cairo, Egypt who works with photography and painting. Her dream was to be one of the Five Adventurers (a popular teen adventure book series in Egypt from the late 70s). Heba graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in 2000 and received a diploma from the Higher Institute for Art Criticism in 2002. She worked with NGOs on a program that encouraged education through the arts for children who have dropped out of school across Egyptian governorates. Heba also worked as an art teacher in several schools and a photojournalist with Al Shorouk Newspaper. She is currently focusing on discovering herself and the world around her through her visual art projects. Heba exhibited her work around the world in places like Beirut, Dubai, USA, Switzerland, and China. Teta and Babcia is Heba’s first experience illustrating children and young adult books and she hopes that it won’t be the last.
